League and cup success for LBTC’s tennis teams!

It’s been a successful summer season for LBTC’s team playing in the Milton Keynes Tennis League. The team have won Division 4 with a match to spare after winning all their first six matches. The squad, which includes Dan Smith, Craig Keeling, brothers Jamie and Adam Arscott-Smith, Josh Lelliott, Aaron Wagner and Jon Temple, have recorded wins over clubs from all over the Milton Keynes district, dropping just 6 sets out of 48 that were played.

The same team has also had success in the Milton Keynes Tennis League’s Knockout Cup for Divisions 4, 5 and 6. After a first round bye, the team has recorded wins over Olney ‘B’, Milton Keynes ‘F’ and Wing ‘B’ to reach the final. They will face either David Lloyd ‘D’, Woburn Sands ‘A’ or Milton Keynes ‘F’ in the final which will be played at Stony Stratford Tennis Club on Sunday 2nd September.

In the Beds League, the mixed first team won Division 2 securing promotion back into the first division with 5 wins and one draw and only a loss of 6 sets in 6 matches. The team was Kirstie Neary, Craig Westley, Andy Conquest and Catherine Filmer, also helped by Emma Boddington, Louisa Kent, Petula Workman, Jack White and Warwick Payne.
